4th Street Recording Monthly Client Showcase Series – June

Can you believe it’s June already? WTF? Time is just flying by too fast for me, and 4th Street Recording’s 30th Anniversary Client Showcase Series is half done. Well, I say what better way to give the finger to time’s incessant death march than with four loud bands in downtown Santa Monica on a Tuesday night?

Opening at 8:30 we have The Other Mules, with an intense mix of blues traditions from urban sounds to downtown delta. These guys are long-time clients, and we’re happy to share them with you!

At 9:30 Unsound Foundation twists a slow blade though alt rock, dark soul, and punk, bleeding through post grunge into a gauzy mesh of rock. This band is part of the Westside Revival scene, a bunch of amazing new rock bands playing here for us folks who are sick of taking Ubers to Silverlake.

Birds In Space headlines at 10:30, combining fiery guitar driven Rock and Roll with melodic soaring vocals. Featuring notable pro players, this band is the newest project from one of our favorite clients Thorn St Germain, multi-awarded songwriter and shredding guitarist. This is hard rock at it’s melodic finest.

Then there’s Vicious Licks. At 11:30. These guys are family. Sejo Navajas singing, Rick San Phillipo on guitar, Dish on drums, and with Andreas Sandness in Norway, freakin’ Christian Sturba on bass. You should really blow off anything you have to do on Wednesday morning and stay out late for this, seriously.

Doors at 8:00 — $10 cover goes to the bands.
